And with our wedding season drawing to a close until late fall, I could not have imagined a better way to end it than with Alexandra & Carson’s wedding last Saturday night. The couple is stationed in Port O’ Connor, TX due to Carson’s service in the U.S. Coast Guard. I had already had the pleasure of meeting the groom’s family and the bride’s sister before meeting the couple a few months ago. From the beginning, it was easy to see how much love this family had for this lovely couple!
Along with their families, Alex & Carson threw an elegant country bash complete with cowboy boots for the bride and all the bridesmaids! The day began with the bride and bridesmaids arriving in the morning to enjoy the bridal tea I had prepared for them, while Mari Lopez Catano made sure that the ladies received the royal hair and makeup treatment.
As the ceremony time drew closer, DV Event Productions arrived to begin photographing the special day. You can see their magical pictures by clicking here. Outside in the grove, Lily, along with all of the wonderful staff from Mena Catering, was busy putting the finishing touches in the reception tent. The couple chose to do a true Southern dinner and the smell was deliciously intoxicating as things were getting underway!
When the time for the ceremony arrived, Alex boarded the carriage with her father and Bitton events began playing the very touching country songs the couple had chosen for the event. As Alex walked down the aisle to meet Carson, who was in full uniform at the altar, it made for a truly moving moment. This was our first military wedding and I have to say that, as a family, we were honored to be a part of it.
We wish Alex & Carson a lifetime of happiness! Congratulations!
